Very modern and comfortable.

I hadn’t originally booked this hotel but was moved due to the other being closed.
It was a lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff.
I had booked a single room but ended up with a double.
A very modern bedroom with plenty of room to move around, good storage for clothes.
Plug sockets next to the bed which is always a bonus. The bed was the most comfortable l have ever stayed in and lovely soft pillows.
No tea/coffee facilities in the room but they are available free of charge in the reception area.
The breakfast selection was very good and catered to all tastes.
It is in a fantastic location with views of Bryggen from the dining room.
It is right next to the fish market and within easy walking distance to all attractions.
I would definitely book again.

Centrally located with great harbour views

Centrally located hotel with great harbour views overlooking historic Bryggen & adjacent to the Mathallen fish markets, cruise tours and ferries. Easy walking distance to Floyen Funicular and Central Tram Station. Architecturally designed but with a couple of impracticalities. Not enough lighting and the shower floor gets quite wet as the shower screen doesn’t fully cover the area. There was no safe or kettle in our room. Breakfast had plenty of variety in a nice relaxed setting. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.

Good hotel a bergen

Decent hotel, clean with very good bedding.
Breakfast is good and very hearty
It is ideally located to access the briggen district or take the funicular.

Not recommended

Centrally located with all the prerequisites for a good stay. Paying a little extra for a slightly larger room with views. The room is a bit like the pictures but is much narrower in reality. The suitcase cannot be folded up anywhere other than at the foot of the bed without blocking other roads. Noisy ventilation facilities, and one must sleep with the bathroom door open to get air into the room. When you open a window, you have to hear the noise from uneven fan blades in the hotel's ventilation facility. In addition, sometimes food/fish odor (many) comes in the air of the ventilation system. Then we top the whole shit, with the view into the backyard. Where there's a construction site. Where it of course starts at 07:00 with and throwing items from the 5.etg down into a container.
Will be well and come home to sleep...
