A very good hotel.

We enjoyed the location, close to the small town very friendly. The welcome. Parking available behind the hotel. The meals were very good whether evening or breakfast. Excellent meal service. The nice terrace. I prefer a room on the back because on the street it is a little noisier.

Great hotel in the city center

Great 5 day stay in a very well maintained and well run hotel, all staff were very friendly and the location is in the middle of the city but very quiet, the breakfast is very extensive and includes many fresh products from the region

Awesome Recently renovated hotel

Awesome hotel recently renovated with spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and great half board dinner. We were on a bike tour and hotel super bike friendly. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Friendly staff and excellent location beside river

Ausgezeichnet! Excellent Value!

A wonderful hotel, friendly, atmospheric, quiet convenient location.
Superb restaurant, very good sauna (mixed, nude), spacious rooms.
I0-15 minute walk through town from the station - bus stop directly outside.
Closed for seasonal break in May.

Visiting Lienz

The Goldener Fisch is THE hotel of Lienz. Rooms are a bit "international" style, so without anything tipycally Austrian style. They are however big and quiet. The restaurant was ok, but service not really good for recommanding wines, and the extreme speed to deliver the dishes clearly shows that everything has been automated to a maximum extend. Generally speaking people serving were nice and pleasant, except the lady at the reception, too busy to ask if everything was fine and ok. the breakfast is excellent and there is a big terrasse to enjoy it. Not enough "soul" for the price however
