Nelson Bay Motel - Needs a refurbish

Room clean & tidy but that is about it. Toilet did not flush - had to get reception to look at it & every time I used it had to take top off cistern & lift float to flush. No light in bathroom - just heat lamp so on a hot December day showering under a heat lamp unacceptable. Shower curtain - not a screen. Motel seriously needs a revamp. Not worth paying $168.00 per night when I have stayed at Accor Hotels much more up market for less.

Excessive cancellation amount $199, 7 day cancellation period beware

Booked for 2 nights on the 5 May for stay on 10/11 June. Due to unforeseen circumstances had to cancel 5 June. Motel has a fee of 1 night ($198) if cancellation is within 7 days, which is excessive for nothing. They tried to charge me for 2 nights.
