Hilton near Volksbad and Gasteig
A very big hotel wit all services and a direct access to the S-Bahn.
We had a big room with 3 large windows.
+++ gym
+++ direct access to the subway
+++ nice staff in the breakfast area, especially Giovanna and Tobias
- Cleaning could be better done.

Standard of Excellence
This hotel location is centrally located walking or taking the U-Bahn to all tourists attractions and corporate business. Actually the Duetche Museum is about a 3-4min walk from the hotel. The atmosphere is a vibe as the hotel has gone through and is still being renovated in the last 8yrs and they now have the improved indoor outdoor juliet Rose bar which we saw it's progression since 2018. The staff are the constant professional and helpful. The Rooms are extremely clean and housekeeping staff are nicest and caring people. This hotel offer buffet style breakfast with an area for diamond members. They have a positive and cheerful lady who is the breakfast host who is just so welcoming and remembers your name. This hotel is our to go accommodation whenever we stay in München.

The hotel is a place to stay during a visit to Munich and is located in a quiet area. You can reach the city center in around 10 minutes by taxi or Uber. The hotel and the rooms are clean and extremely simple with very few amenities. Some staff members are friendly while others are less so. A special thanks to Philip at the reception who was especially nice and friendly. A few annoying things were that the air conditioner dispenser in the bathroom was empty and despite asking for three days, the free sparkling water dispenser on the passageway was never replaced. Also one day they missed the room cleaning despite giving special requests about it. The breakfast is very nice and the staff as well but needs one more coffee dispenser to reduce queue when busy in the morning. The most positive about the hotel is the parking garage under the hotel despite charging € 35 per night. It’s definitely not a hotel you choose for the hotel but a place to use while visiting Munich and surrounding areas. If you don’t expect a luxury hotel and a luxury stay then the choice is OK.

Calm Under Pressure at a Lovely Hilton
We arrived on August 15 when the computer system was down and had already been down since 4 a.m. The lobby waiting area was filled with people waiting to check in. It was a frustrating experience, to put it mildly.
I spoke with one front desk person multiple times over several hours. I was polite and friendly, but it was clear that some people were not. Nevertheless, this young woman remained calm, almost serene. She was kind, polite, friendly, sympathetic, and explained as much as she could very patiently, repeatedly. It must have been a terrible work day for her and the others behind the desk, as they scrambled to find a way to get us all into rooms without benefit of the computers. (Keys, of course, were all digital.) I made a point of stopping by the desk to compliment her the next day. Her name is Laura, and she is an asset to her employer.
Computer shutdowns happen. The hotel should have been better prepared for such an event, and perhaps this will be the wakeup call it needs. At a minimum, also, it should have made at least water available to the dozens of people waiting in the lobby, again some for hours, especially on such a hot day.
Nevertheless, I like this hotel, have stayed here before, and will again. All of the staff is friendly, competent, and professional, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable; the fitness center is well equipped; public transport comes almost right to the door; the river and the Deutches Museum are a short walk away, and there's a nice bar. Only thing missing is a pool.
