The flight search panel
Let’s look in more detail at the flight search panel on our homepage. You’ll see you can choose where you want to fly from and where you want to go. Users also have the choice of selecting a one-way ticket, a return, or a multi-city journey.
There is a tick box you can select if you only want to fly directly to a destination, without any stop-overs and you can also choose your cabin class and the number of passengers travelling from the drop down menus.
All this is pretty straight forward, and by clicking on the green search flights button we’ll compare all the different airline options and routes available, to get you the best airfare deals.
We have several options users can choose from when looking for flights; you can look at specific dates you want to fly, a whole month view which allows you to search ahead to compare flight prices on different days during a particular month and lastly our cheapest month feature. Well-loved by our users, it’s great if you know where you want to go, but you also have more flexibility on when you can travel.
You can save a lot of money using the cheapest month feature, as flights costs can vary dramatically depending on when you want to travel. For example, it’s typical to find a surge in flight prices during popular travel period, whereas if you’re flexible and can travel outside of the popular months, you may see flight prices halved.
