Very comfortable location. Good price-quality ratio.
Very good location, three blocks from Av. 18 de Julio and Plaza Juan Pedro Fabini (there are Starbucks, McDonalds, Buquebus office and many more restaurants). In addition, the bus that comes from Carrasco Airport just runs along Av. Uruguay and has a stop in front of the hotel.
It is a very old hotel, with old furniture, but that does not detract from its comfort. The hotel staff is very nice. The room has the essentials: TV and even a small refrigerator (refrigerator or minibar). Two blocks away there is a TATA supermarket so you can buy and leave it refrigerated in the room.
If I had to find a negative, I would say that the furniture is as old as the hotel and could perhaps be improved a little, although personally that did not affect my stay. I don't know if it has breakfast service, at least my rate didn't have it, but it would be great if it included it.

We came from Colonia by coach and it was a short taxi ride from the bus station. Good location just around the corner from Plaza Independiente. Helpful staff and spacious room.

Uruguay hotel has all the basics covered. Clean, okay breakfast, working WiFi. The bathroom gets a little messy given that shower isn’t separated. The location is very convenient, easy walk from ciudad viejo and rambla. Overall it is on the older side, but it is a good value for the price.

Solid cheap and clean accommodation. Old and dated but does the trick. Decent WiFi. No one speaks English but we survived.

Great location; old place
The price is right! The location to the center of town is great (2 blocks to main street; 5 blocks to Independence Plaza). An older Hotel that is clean. They don't speak English. The breakfast is coffee, tea and rolls! The rooms are big enough and clean! Choice of bathroom in the hall or in your room. Just 2 blocks from nice restaurants and close to the main Plaza!
