Stunning
A big thank you to Seconda Stella for our amazing stay with you. Our family spent 2 of our 10 day holiday here, and our only regret is not staying here longer. This hotel has a truly tranquil vibe, and we have never felt so relaxed. We were personally greeted upon check-in by the owner (Ivan), who has been so accommodating and welcoming. The villas are spacious and nicely decorated. The pool and bar area is beautiful both day and night. The area is perfect if you want peace and quite and the beach is only a short walk. We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later. Thank you so much for ending our trip to Zanzibar on such a good note

A night in Seconda Stella.
I was expecting more...
I arrived at 14:30. Thirty minutes after official check in time.
Two empty welcome glasses were on the side while staff were on their phones.
The owner came out to greet us which was a nice touch.
The hotel is very relaxing. Music plays nicely in the background.
The huts rest around the outside of the pool.
Many photographic moments. The candle light dinner is beautiful.
We stayed 1 night that was nice.
The room is beautiful with an outside shower. The shower gel and cremes are wonderful.
We loved it. We were invited to come back even for the food.

• Noise: The hotel is located right on a busy street, causing constant noise, making it difficult to relax.
• Cleanliness: The room was dirty, the bedding had visible stains and the mattresses outside were also dirty.
• Bathroom condition: The outside shower was unkempt and covered in cobwebs.

Dreamy Hideaway
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Seconda Stella for 3 nights, and I’m completely in love with this place. It’s the perfect blend of boho-chic charm and luxury a true hidden gem!
The rooms are immaculate, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The outdoor shower was a personal favorite such a unique and refreshing touch. Overall, the accommodation felt like a solid 5-star experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the owner, Ivan, who personally took the time to introduce me to the property. His hospitality is unmatched he truly goes out of his way to ensure every guest feels like a VIP. The staff were equally incredible ,warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Honestly, service here deserves a 10/10.
During my stay, I enjoyed two spa treatments and I can’t recommend them enough. The spa setting is tranquil and serene, and the therapist was exceptional. If you're visiting, don’t skip the spa!
And let’s not forget the food ,fresh, flavorful, and inclusive of all dietary needs. I especially loved the healthy options and the creative flair in every dish.

Avoid avoid avoid
Avoid at all costs. What a disastrous experience. The airport transfer we paid for was never arranged. No food at the establishment so the only way we could get food was to pay cash for meals so the under-supported staff could go out and buy food.
The restaurant area was overrun with flies. So eating or sitting there was very unpleasant.
Our rooms were not serviced daily, only when we asked and on a few occasions when we asked it still wasn’t attended to.
Missing light bulbs in the room/patio. Patio furniture was filthy and being used by the resident dog as a bed so it smelt terribly.
Unclean and uncared for. Roadside entrance strewn with litter and old kitchen equipment.
While this is not under the establishments control there is a pool table/pub/bar across the road which plays loud music until 3am.
Appalling service and support from the owner. Not recommended.
