Great Accommodation, Service and Food

Small family run hotel and restaurant with great service. The owners are informative about things to do in Iringa as well as surrounding areas. Booking was seamless and the the Sai Villa team were great with communicating efficiently. Overall, for a town like Iringa, Sai Villa offers comfort both with its accommodation and food. Highly recommend.

Awful experience from service and food to atrocious accommodation

I stayed at Sai Villa with my family when they came to visit me in Iringa. I had been living in Iringa for a while and thought Sai Villa would be a nice place for my family to stay. The location is quite central and while the price was higher than other places, I thought it would be better value.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. Sai Villa is filthy. Our room had dirty bedsheets, old and smelly mattresses, dirty carpets and towels, bugs, a broken and therefore noisy toilet, a broken shower head,a terrible 'old food' odor, and was just overall disgusting. The restaurant area looks very run down and dirtyand the kitchen—from what I saw when I looked inside, was not clean either. I have stayed in hostels and hotels in many places around the world and nothing has even been as terrible as Sai Villa.
I spoke with the manager to cancel the reservation and ask for a refund. He agreed to refund us and then (after what I assume was him speaking with the owners) and after an hour of waiting in the lobby for my refund, said he would not refund us.
Management and owners should be ashamed of themselves.
I moved my family to another hotel which was clean and beautiful and much less expensive.
After much back and forth with management and owners we endured a grueling process to get some money back from this nightmare of a place.
My advice: just go anywhere else whether for dinner, accommodation, or just a coffee, there are better places.
I there was a rating below 1/5, i'd have selected that.

Little gem with great food

Overnight stay was pleasant. Rooms are adequate for the location but the meals were excellent (lunch and dinner). Renovations were ongoing at the time and a bit of upgrades in the rooms would enhance guest experiences.

Rather dated, but good food

We spent one night here and then relocated to somewhere a little cheaper. We felt that the hotel had at one time been 'the' place to stay in Iringa and was riding somewhat on that legacy. It hadn't been renovated for a long time and there were signs of unfinished construction in the garden. The evening meal selection was excellent, however, and clearly there are residents of Iringa who come here just for the good food.

Nice Business Hotel

A clean place with all the amenities like the Wi-Fi works all the time. The food is good for dinner but the breakfast bites. Quite away for town which is nice . Limited rooms so the guest get to know each other. A lot of NGO people stay here
