Fresh, friendly & cozy!

Top staff, very good food and a cozy atmosphere at fair prices! Very good selection of dishes. Great pizzas & Cordon Bleus. My favorite: Cordon Bleu Caprese... The host family is always working on site... keep it up and we'll be happy to come back!

Summer Saturday dinner

Busy place on a Saturday evening. Friendly staff. Quite a broad range on the menu - from pasta to pizza to more traditional Swiss dishes. They seem to specialise in Cordon Bleu (several variations). Big cordon bleu served with a pretty small portion of veggies. Chose potato croquettes as accompaniment but they weren’t great, a bit greasy and not the breadcombed variety (more the rösti type).

Exellent Food

Great restaurant, super food & friendly staff. Shame about the very basic rooms & opening hours. closed Mondays & Tuesday mornings. Bookings mixed up? booked 2 singles for 2 nights & got 1 single for 2 nights without toilet & 1 single without toilet or bathroom for 1 night? after arguing the odds, this was changed to 2 nights

A Fantastic GEM

Travelling as a group of three on a motorcycle tour of the surrounding area.
We stayed for one night and this hotel was one of the best we used during our tour. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, clean, simple and with comfortable rooms.
What made the difference was the atmosphere of the building and the owners / staff that went out of their way to helps us. The building has an “old world” charm that we all liked and appreciated. They chef helped us to fix one of our bikes before parking them in the owners garage. The food was fantastic and served with a smile; they even helped us to plan the best motorcycle routes through Switzerland after our meal. We would like to thank them all for a great stay and would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Interesting

Stayed two nights to watch a stage of the Tour de Suisse. The building is beautiful, very charming. It is obviously really old, and the outdoor dining areas are really lovely. The rooms are good size, mine included private bath. Everything was clean. I was on the end, on second floor, so I had steeply pitched roof/ceiling and dormer windows. The pitch made sitting in bed to read awkward, but not impossible.
There is a game room on the back side of the second floor, a bar, and the surrounding yard area has ducks, alpacas and a little creek.
Most staff were really friendly, but not everyone. Internet access wasn't offered, had to ask, and breakfast hostess was a bit gruff the first morning. Breakfast was okay, but pretty limited. No yogurt the first day, no fruit or juice either morning. Everyone received two slices of bread and a roll and coffee. Butter, two varieties of jam, a few small pieces of cheese and a few thin slices of sausage were available as toppings. Compared to the other hotel I stayed in during the trip, this was disappointing, especially since it is classified as a Bed and Breakfast.
