Gimmelwald is the picture perfect Swiss town of your dreams. It’s so small... maybe 20 families live there. There are a couple places tourists can stay, but overall it is very quiet. There is a little Biergarten that is perfect for an after-hike pint. It is such an easy hike to and from Mürren. The families there have small refrigerators open to the public where anyone can buy cheese, milk, eggs, and sometimes dried meats based on the honor system. I highly recommend checking out this little piece of heaven if you’re nearby.

A charming and remarkable small village. Several farmers live in the village. There are some homestay and small hotel options. Enjoy the view of the alps. Since there are no cars, you can either walk or take the cable to other villages.

Gimmelwald is one of the most beautiful small villages I've ever been to and perfect for a romantic getaway. It hangs on the side of the Alps and has some of the most picturesque views around. It is just down the mountain from Murren, which is also a wonderful small town that is worth a visit.
