A mini jungle close to the beach
Frofvin who runs these cosy little pockets of joy was so helpful & friendly, I cant express how safe I felt here in this little garden paradise, with a well kept garden & central Cabana for entertaining. I was cooked a typical Sri Lankan meal, full of spice & flavour, I dream of the Pittu that was cooked for me, my first experience of this coconut & flour roll & I hope it wont be the last. All the staff were welcoming & looked after me. I hope to visit again when next in Sri Lanka

Lovely and clean, good location
Really enjoyed our three night stay at Sasvi Cabanas, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and it’s in the perfect location for exploring Uppuveli, with an easy 12km tuktuk ride to nearby Nilaveli beach. They take breakfast orders the night before, but the nearby Cafe on the 18th has better coffee and very good breakfast options. They booked us on to snorkelling and whale watching trips with no fuss, very easy. Air con worked a treat, and the whole environment is very peaceful and enjoyable. Great hammocks outside and each cabana has a little set of wooden chairs and table to enjoy the evenings. Nice strong shower, good size and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again and having wandered around Uppuveli we were very happy with our choice compared to other options available. Big thumbs up!

Lovely place and people
We had booked two nights at this new, very nice property. We ultimately could not stay because recent heavy rains and flooding had damaged the small road to the cabanas, as well as adjacent properties.
We could not reach the property with our van, and did not wish to drag our bags the distance from the main road. The still flooded and visibly destructed neighbouring properties appeared to be breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Despite mosquito nets on the beds, we were concerned (we were staying with our two, youngish kids).
We did get a chance to see the cabanas which where very nice and smartly constructed, and had a very pleasant chat with the owner, who was understanding about our concerns.
It is close to the beach, several decent restaurants are located nearby, and there has clearly been a lot of attention to detail and thoughtfulness to how the grounds are set up and maintained.
We would recommend the property to anyone, despite our situational issues, once the road in is repaired (which is scheduled soon).

We loved it
We came to Uppuveli and found our booked cabana at "Anna Inn" closed. So we went to the neighbour Sasvi Cabana. It was a very warm welcome and immediately we felt like home for the following 8 nights.
The family with 3 kids is amazing and friendly, will always help you out if you need assistance. Breakfast was great (we recommend the Asian style) and the complete area was tidy and beautiful. We are sorry we will not see the new birds cage...
We even learned some Tamile words here.
In case we will visit Uppuveli again we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely new cabanas minutes from the beach
Complex is newly built and looks even better than the photos. Rooms have the option of fan or AC - we chose AC which worked beautifully. Located a 5 minute walk from the beach with many amazing restaurants just outside the doorstep. Breakfast at Sasvi Cabana was so delicious that we chose to have breakfast there during our whole stay. Laundry services were available as well for a small fee. Nearby beach boasts many amazing activities such as whale watching, snorkeling and more. Would 100% come back to stay!
