Excellent choice
Valencians in Spain: the cleanliness of the room is impeccable, excellent mattress and pillows, very spacious rooms.
We arrived very late and they didn't give us any problems.
We will repeat!!

Very good.
Stayed there on night.Got a suite of two rooms.Clean , nice furnitures and quite.
Forgot a sweater which they sent to me in Sweden.
The price of the room was OK.
Recomend Don Juan.
The town of Alarcon is worth a visit. There are a couple of realy good restaurants.

Alternative to (an overpriced) Parador
Granted, I wanted to SEE Alarcon's Parador/Castle so had planned to stay nearby. When we couldn't FIND the Booking.com place I'd hoped to locate (in the dusk of evening) 12 kilometer from the centre of Alarcon, we happened upon Juan Carlos, himself, coming out of the bar. He happily showed us the basic room in this very newly renovated or built 'Hostal' and we settled on the price of 60E including breakfast. This was less than 1/3 of what the Parador was charging for simply a ROOM (no breakfast), and did not involve hunting down something outside the castle proper. He also recommended the fabulous La Cabana which is reviewed separately. He asked when we wanted breakfast and w/o thinking of how EARLY this is in Spain, had the poor man up at 8 a.m. making us a simple continental breakfast of coffee, juice, toast, and muffins in his bar/cafe in the square.
What would have made this a more perfect selection would have been to have it be warmer or to have more coverlets for the bed. I was chilly despite the radiators and couldn't seem to find additional bedding to make it less so. The water in the shower also ran 'cool' after my shower, perhaps it needed to be set up just a tad in the event of 'off season' tourists such as ourselves. This is a basic place with simple 60's style furnishing, but it's large, the television works (though the internet did not) and as I mentioned, compared to a 4-star alternative and the Parador, the 'price was right', and we were glad for Mr. Martinez's hospitality.

Nos ha gustado mucho
Habitaciones y baños grandes, limpieza muy buena, detalles como un hotel superior, calidad y precio muy bueno, estuvimos en las habitaciones 201 y 202 qué son abuhardilladas, a pesar de que el pueblo es muy pequeño, la situación la tiene muy buena y tranquila
