Sweet little room, perfect for a short trip to Utrecht

Great location in the Lombok district, about 15 minutes from the main train station and the city center. Located in a quiet, multicultural setting in a former monastery.
My single room was located directly on the courtyard - with a glass front and no opaque curtains at all (unless you close the blackout). Luckily, I was there in February/March, so the yard was mostly empty. It could probably get loud in the summer.
The room is very small but perfectly adequate. However, the combination of toilet and shower is a bit unfavourable, when showering you put everything under water.
Ample parking right behind the hotel, but not cheap at 25 € per day. However, parking is incredibly expensive throughout Utrecht. On the bright side, there are virtually no cars in the city centre – but you should beware of the incredibly fast cyclists.
Since breakfast with 8 o'clock on the weekend was much too late for me, I catered for myself. Thanks to kettle and espresso machine no problem. On my day of departure, I enjoyed it. At almost 20 € not inexpensive, but diverse and very delicious.
Tip: take a day trip. I was in Rotterdam by train. If you book early and go there in the morning, you can save a lot – I only paid about half.

Great hotel near train station

This hotel is ready walking distance from the train station (in the opposite direction to the main historic town). The room was large with great fittings and very neat. Enjoyed the nearby middle eastern restaurants (the mosque is nearby).

Stay in a renovated state of the art monastery

The courtyard in this former monastery and the building itself with the coloured glass was super cool. The renovation of this monastery into a hotel is breathtaking and really well executed. It is a very very nice hotel! Quality food at breakfast. Good cocktails at the bar. Super clean hotel.
The double room was amazing but the single rooms are a bit too small and expensive - better take a double then.
The replenishment at the breakfast could be a bit faster.
The lounge/bar area was cold at night and the heating was not working at the bar.
The furniture in the bathroom of the double room is a bit too minimalist

very cozy city hotel

I really enjoyed this remarkable hotel and its charm as a former monastery. The breakfast was excellent and the food was fresh and of a high quality. The rooms have an appealing style and comfortable beds. My room even had a separate bedroom. The hotel is also within walking distance of the city center.
