We got there on the first day and advised that we couldn't use the pool as they were throwing a pool party. They said the pool would be available the next day. It was not available until 3pm the next day and even then the place had not been cleaned up. It's a no smoking building but the workers were smoking while cleaning up. The shower flooded part of the bathroom each time we had a shower. The room at first sight looked clean but upon further inspection was quite dirty especially in the corners. It's central to the tourist sights which is a good thing. It's one of those places where you would only stay a day max two before you move on

Eco...Nomic with the basics.

Best bit: comfy clean bed.
Water, shower & toilet worked & clean.
Everything else, tired, grubby, worn & not the cleanliness
Had to ask for housekeeping on arrival
Wardrobe shelving covered in dust, despite having a door, net curtains & carpet stained.
Female receptionist, nothing more than ignorantly arrogant whereas male receptionist on opposite shift, very helpful at every point of contact.
Buffet breakfast poor.

The arrival experience missed the mark.

I've been eager to experience a short getaway at the Eco Tree Hotel, thanks to the recommendation. Luckily, I secured a reasonable rate, especially considering it was a Friday stay right before a public holiday. Consequently, I decided to take the plunge.
Here's what impressed me:
1. The overall condition of the hotel is well-maintained.
2. The check-in and check-out process was quick, that's all.
3. The room was quite nice offering: plenty of space, the air-conditioning system worked well, and excellent water pressure for a hot shower as well.
4. The hotel offers open-air private parking conveniently situated behind the property, and there's a friendly and helpful attendant at the guardhouse.
5. The hotel's strategic location provides easy access to numerous good dining options, convenience stores, and even nearby reflexology centers.
Areas that could use improvement:
1. Room cleanliness needs attention; I found unidentified hairs in the bed, which was quite off-putting.
2. The inability to lock the doors to the toilet and bathroom was inconvenient.
3. The limited selection of only four TV channels was disappointing.
4. The breakfast spread itself offered very few choices while the coffee served was quite enjoyable.
5. A more secure designated storage area for luggage would be greatly appreciated.
Above all, I would like to highlight that the front desk team could greatly benefit from being more tactful, friendly, and approachable. The overall arrival experience left much to be desired and was deeply disappointing, despite the swift check-in process.
Upon making our reservation, we requested early check-in with full understanding that it was subject to approval, even though the official check-in time was 1500 hours. Consequently, we decided to register, deposit our luggage, and check out some nearby restaurants. When we got to the lobby, it was unusually quiet and devoid of guests, except for a family of three checking out, and my companion and me. In my turn, I walked up to the front desk and cordially mentioned my intention to check-in. To this, the front desk female attendant answered right away that our check-in time was 1500 hours and that we should return at that hour.
I reiterated my awareness of the check-in time but kindly requested to register and leave our luggage in their care. Unfortunately, her response was far from accommodating as she asserted that they were presently only processing check-outs. Her disinterest in further assisting us was evident, leading me to conclude that I should simply return at 1500 hours as she had suggested. When I inquired about the location of the luggage storage room, her reply was curt, merely gesturing toward an area with a glass door, positioned beneath a staircase and opposite the reception area. I couldn't help but feel uncertain about the safety of leaving our belongings there, especially given her uncooperative attitude. Without offering a luggage tag, I took a leap of faith and left our luggage in the designated area.
This whole interaction was unpleasant and aloof. Not a single smile was visible, no interest in engaging with us. I didn't feel anything like hospitality. Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, including a stint as head of reception, such treatment of guests is utterly disheartening.
