Have been to Kuching couple of times but 1st time staying at this hotel, chose it due to proximity to the Waterfront.
Stayed at the King size room with a view of the DUN building and waterfront, can watch light shows every night from the room at 6th floor. Room was very spacious. Hotel is old, the mirror door was cracked.
My concern was that as the hotel is linked to a mall and the mall share the same lift with the hotel, it keeps the lifts busy and us hotel guests have to wait for the lift and some non guests were able to access the rooms level if they just stayed in the lift even though they intend to access the mall, which I witness many times. Weirdos from the mall can just come knocking at your hotel room since they can just follow you to your floor without having to tap hotel card in the lift! To me this is a security and privacy concern to the
safety of hotel guests. By right, non guest should only be able to access the lift up to the lobby or use a separate lift that doesnt give access to the pool and rooms. Or the lift to the mall for hotel guest be kept separate. Breakfast spread was good though I find ex at RM30-40 for my 6 year old. She could eat breakfast for free in european hotels. Pool water is also cold as you don't get the sun in. Hotel staff are all very helpful.

Very nice hotel in a prime location

I spent four nights in this wonderful hotel, in a very nice room (Premier King Suite ) overlooking the river. The room offered a lot of space, as did the bathroom, everything was very clean and in good condition. Good Wi-Fi and good air conditioning (very important in muggy Kuching). From the window I even saw the Astana Palace, the Parliament building and the modern bridge, which were beautifully lit in the evening, as well as the lights show that takes place every evening on the river.
Unfortunately, the sound insulation of the windows is not good. Every morning at about 5.30am I was woken up by the muezzin calls coming from a beautiful mosque (visible from my windows).
The hotel is located in a quiet area of Kuching, close to many attractions.
The breakfast buffet was sensational and left nothing to be desired.
The hotel staff is very friendly.
The hotel is connected to a large shopping mall, where you can also eat varied in a food court.
The pool on the fourth floor is very nice, you also have a great view from there, but it is quite small and always full of people. Also, there are very few loungers. The pool bar offers good drinks at affordable prices.
Should I come to Kuching again, I would choose this hotel again.

2nd time here…Lovely.

2nd time staying here and did not dissapoint us. This time we took the Premier King Suite and Premier 2 bdrm suite for 3 nites, as attending my coudin’s wedding. Loved it spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good. But can be improved. Staff are friendly and helpful. There were events on Friday & Sat nite, but all finished by 11pm I think, so it was ok. As our suite was just above it lvl 5. Would love to stay here again. Please do maintain your standards.

Superb location; lovely hotel

We had a highly enjoyable stay here. Location couldn’t really be better - as the name suggests it’s just across the road from the water, with superb riverside views, and the Darul Hana Bridge, Carpenter street and the Indian market street just steps away. Lots of great bars and restaurants close to hand.
Our room was very clean and bright, with good, flexible lighting, and well-positioned power sockets - and probably the most comfortable bed of our entire Borneo stay. Lovely bathroom ( could do with better towel-hanging options though).
Breakfast was very good with lots of options - special mentions to the beef rendang and the really delicious pastries - and decent coffee. We had a horribly early departure for the airport on our last day, and were offered a takeaway breakfast, which turned out to be enormous, fresh and very good.
Fantastic views from the pool. It’s a shame the pool is quite so deeply shaded, as although it is open to the air, it’s under a roof rather than an awning - but rather that than burning to a crisp if it was completely uncovered.
Without exception, the staff were terrific - helpful, friendly, polite and efficient. Kuching was our final Borneo destination before heading home and the Waterfront made a fittingly excellent end to a fabulous holiday.
