This resort was one of the best parts of our trip to Japan. Coming from the USA, we wanted to enjoy a traditional accommodation. This resort had everything we were looking for: Japanese style room, bedrock sauna, private onsen bath, gendered public onsen bath and an onsen pool. It is a small resort with only 8 rooms, which makes for a very personalized experience. When we arrived the staff was incredibly friendly. We didn’t book any meals with our reservation but was easily able to add it on at check-in due to them having extra space. The property itself is nestled near the mountains and a train track, which provided a serene environment. The train was not loud at all and was short. We booked this property because of its proximity to the Kawazu Seven falls and the Amagiso Onsen. Overall, we are incredibly happy and will definitely be back.

This is a bit worn out and simple hotel. The best things were the extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as the super delicious dinner & breakfast that was included in the price. I ate maybe the most delicious croissant ever here. The variety and the quality of food was great. Things to improve are  the facilities, especially the onsen. It’s very small but more importantly, it wasn’t well maintained and there was no emergency button. When my mom felt like fainting, it wasn’t possible to call for help. 
Also the air conditioner in the room was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. All in all, good stay.

No drinking water in public bath is the only concern as needed to walk outside of changing area to get water.

Luxurious natural hot spring water and bedrock bath

A wonderful inn with its own hot spring source. You can enjoy the extremely fresh hot spring water (not circulated or heated) 24 hours a day, so this is an inn that I would recommend to hot spring lovers. The 25m pool also uses the inn's own hot spring source, so it is more of a lukewarm hot spring than a pool. It is a luxurious pool where even my daughters who have sensitive skin can play for a long time without worry. There is a bedrock bath that uses hot spring heat in the building, and it is really the best! This bedrock bath makes you feel the words "warm from the core of your body" more than any other bedrock bath I have ever used. Even though I don't sweat much, I was sweating in about 10 minutes. And it doesn't get cold easily. The structure allows you to go back and forth between the bedrock bath and the pool, so you can enjoy a luxurious holiday.
The dinner food (creative Western food) is also very wonderful and everything is delicious. Breakfast is Japanese food. The delicious side dishes and freshly cooked rice make you feel happy from the morning.
Wonderful staff, great hot springs, great food, this is an inn that you will want to use regularly.

部屋にソファがあればくつろげた。
かけ流しで気持ち良かったが、浴槽が岩でゴツゴツして落ち着かなかった。
岩盤浴はとても良かった。
