Hotel Utz Jay is located 2 blocks from Lake Atitlan in Panajachel. It offers lush gardens and fruit trees, a hot tub and a Mayan-style sauna filled with relaxing aromatic herbs.

Everything was fine!
The hotel is located in a quiet side street, about 400 m from the ship dock and 200 m from the tourist centre. It has a beautiful courtyard with plants and seating.
The rooms could be a little bigger and a closet wouldn't be bad either. The beds were very comfortable with good mattresses. There was a very nicely designed, large stone bathroom with everything you need.
Breakfast was served and consisted of scrambled eggs with mole, tortillas, cream cheese, jam and a small fruit plate.

Very boff as a hotel.
Excellent location because right in the center very close to the lake + very spacious room. To note a significant effort to make available purified water points to fill its bottle or the pitcher made available in the room.
But these are the only attractions because otherwise spent two absolutely noisy nights (the first due to the adjoining laundry and the second of the Italians coming home drunk at 2am who screamed without the hotel saying anything). Plus cold shower water (more hot water in the morning?) and finally as it rained we saw a very nice rat coming out of the sluice and passing in the small garden. Finally breakfast non-copious and identical both days and impossible to have a second tea. Anyway, it's not a great hotel.

Pleasant step
Overlooking the garden, a comfortable and well-kept upstairs bedroom, with a balcony and two seats. Welcome, efficient laundry service. The breakfast is good. The lancha terminal can be easily reached on foot as can the lakeshore.

Perfect central and affordable
The hotel is perfect to explore Pana and surrounding sites. Affordable, central but quiet. Just one block from Main Street. Many restaurants and cafes close by. Clean, nice garden, good WiFi, hot breakfast, hot water.easy access to transport (tuk tuk or shuttle) Microwave and filtered water available, plus plenty of seating places to take your own food.Staff is very helpful. For additional cost, they have spa massages, jacuzzi and tour/shuttle agency on site. Super safe and convenient.

There may be better but for 2 nights it's ok
The hotel is 5m away. Walking distance from the main street. The garden is pretty, the tiny rooms, one 120 bed and the other 90 take up all the space. Small shower 2 soaps. It's clean, that's the main thing, the bedding is not very comfortable and hard. Very slow breakfasts and service. Be careful, lots of dogs if you go out in the evening, people have been attacked and bitten.
