Beautiful and Peaceful ☺️
Beautiful, peaceful apartments with lovely views. Basic inside as expected but spotlessly clean and cleaned everyday to a high standard. The whole place is kept clean and tidy.
Lovely pool area which you could have to yourself sometimes, again with lovely countryside views.
The climb up the steps or steep drive is really worth it.
Lovely restaurant just down the steps which is well worth visiting (Nectar and Ambrosia) and other lovely traditional restaurants in walking distance. Grocery shops and bakeries in walking distance too. The beach is a 10 min walk and the sun-beds that belong to the Troulos Bay Hotel are the best value, 18€ for 2 + umbrella and are the most spaced apart. Lovely tavernas on the beach too, we particularly liked Taverna Troulos for lunch.
If you are an animal lover, a drive up to the dog shelter to walk the dogs is a must, we did this two mornings. Get there for 7.30 and you get your choice of dogs.
We have had a fantastic holiday at Elpeniki, a credit to Costas and his hard working team. We will deffinitely return at some point.

Beautiful Balcony
We returned from Villa Elpiniki last week. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with a family of 5 (no 18). The apartment was clean and spacious. The bedrooms were big, with plenty of places to store our suitcases. The view from the balcony was the most beautiful we've ever had. So green and tranquil but lovely tavernas and a gorgeous beach 5 minutes walk away. The owner and cleaning team were brilliant. Everywhere was well kept and spotless. We would love to visit again.

Amazing stay!
Just spent a week in room 16 at Villa Elpiniki & I loved it! Spacious apartment with a balcony & lovely views!
I was greeted by Kostas who was a lovely host, he helped with my luggage & gave me all the information I needed about the room. I opted to pay for the air con (& was glad I did!) & also the bottles of water, there was 12 bottles & I think it was €10 but well worth paying so you don’t have to carry bottles up the hill from the shop!
The apartment was spotlessly clean & also the grounds & pool area.
The hill!!! It’s a big one!
The property wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility issues, but on the other hand the exercise has done me a world of good!
It’s about a 10 minute walk to Troulos beach, the bus stop is at the bottom of the Elpiniki drive way & runs every 10-15 mins. The bus is great! All the stops are numbered from 0 - 26 (so no need to remember any different Greek names!)
Villa Elpiniki is stop number 19.
Quick & easy way to get into Skiathos Town or some of the islands other beaches.
This was my first visit to Skiathos & first holiday on my own but I felt very safe & welcome - would definitely recommend

Great views, quiet location.
I would give this a 4/5
My only reason for dropping a star is because we could hear everything in the apartment connected to ours. The lovely lady staying in it had a cough and everytime she coughed it woke us up.
We were in number 10. I think where the divide is between the 2 apartments there are gaps near the roof meaning sound can travel. So would not recommend if you are a light sleeper.
I don’t know if the other apartments had the same problem as when I looked they had different roof shapes to ours.
The apartment itself was very clean and cleaned every day with fresh towels.
The bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain which did mean the whole bathroom got soaked but this wasn’t too much of an issue.
The bed was a little firm for my liking but again that’s personal preference so nothing to complain about.
I personally like a very dark room to sleep (again my preference ) and one window didn’t have a shutter to shut out the light so we popped a towel over it which blocked out most of the light , also leaving the wardrobe door open blocked out the flashing green light from the exit sign above the door which was partially taped up anyway.
Kostas the owner was lovely, very friendly and around if he was needed. He does not push extras on people. He advised us we probably wouldn’t need aircon and said we could add it later on if we changed our minds which we didn’t do as we stayed end of May first week of June and the room was warm but well ventilated as the windows and doors were able to be left open as they had fly screens. He also asked if we needed wifi which we didn’t and said if we changed our minds just to let him know.
There is a €10 charged for 12 large water bottles which we were more than happy to pay. We used them all then purchased more from the shops.
We could have had a late check out at an additional €40 but in the end decided we could manage without as the nearest beach had a shower on it for rising off sea water and we were able to use toilets in the places we ate at that day.
Yes this property is on a hill but we never found this a problem, it’s short and steep but there are also steps . I would recommend bringing a torch if arriving late or out late in the evening as the main roads are very dark with no pavement and some areas around troulos, the villa can be dark tho there are lights dotted around.
We used the pool most mornings and had it to ourselves, it is clean and 1.5m depth all over.
The loungers around the pool are the hard plastic type and there is some shade for those who don’t like to be in the sun.
The water for the shower is heated by solar with a back up generator. There was always plenty of water , sometimes you just needed to let it run for 5 minutes as the tanks were further from our property but all of this is explained in the welcome pack.
You get one toilet roll (a large one) we took an extra in our case as had read this previously so my advise would be pack and extra save you buying a whole pack out there.
We also took our own washing up liquid and sponge and tea towel - items you might not think to pack and will save money buying.
There is a lovely bakery couple mins walk up the road to the right for filled rolls , pastry’s cakes fresh decent coffee.
Highly recommend nectar and ambrosia restaurant next to the villa . It has free WiFi, we sat and had a drink there most evenings and ate there a couple of times. Family run business and the lovely Christos will make you feel very welcome. They were more than happy to cook for us at 11pm the day we arrived after our flight had been delayed.
So to summarise
If you are to get a detached villa or one of the larger ones, or aren’t a light sleeper then this could be perfect for you.
Feel free to ask any questions

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We could not have asked for more from this stay at the Villa by the pool at Villa elpiniki. The photos online do not do justice to a newly renovated villa, spacious and with every comfort. The seven of us stayed there comfortably. Even though we were two families, we did not have any problems since there are two spacious rooms and two bathrooms. Add the direct view of the pool, a special view, and daily cleaning. A thank you to Kosta, the owner. Always available for advice or even just to say hello. Furthermore, he accommodated us regarding the check-out time. Highly recommended!
