Nice place to stay and make trips to the area.

Located overlooking Old Town in Pirna on the Elbe. Rooms are well equipped and clean. The breakfast buffet is rich. The restaurant also has good food and nice service. There are also bicycles for rent, unfortunately not visible at the reception, only on request, I knew that. But you have to make a reservation the night before to be able to drive it the next day!

It's okay

The hotel is well-situated on the Elbe. The beer garden is, of course, not open every day. The hotel has also really aged. Despite the high price, the rooms are definitely in need of renovation. They are dark and furnished without love. The mattresses are really worn out. The staff is very friendly and the food is Saxon cuisine.

Below expectations.

We stayed for one night, but everything was below our expectations. Shabby room, disappointing bathroom. In doubt, we avoided having breakfast.

Once was already too much.

Parking lot in front of the building so small that parking 200m away was necessary. Room entirely functional. Even the arduous climb (no elevator, as is explained with a grin at the reception) to the upper floor reveals, if one is very benevolent, the charm of the GDR. Even the numerous stains on the carpet seem to date back to that time. Shower in the morning with warm water, if the tap is not running in the neighboring room at the same time. Given the distance of around 3 km to the center of Pirna, which makes a car and a parking space necessary, only suitable for people with a modest penchant for nostalgia and low expectations. There are definitely better accommodations with a better price-performance ratio in Pirna.

Good, local hotel

Good hotel as they are in the area just like that. Balcony to the Elbe. Rooms, reception and guest rooms maintained, but as in the 1990s- flashback! Nice staff and good breakfast buffet. No air conditioning - will certainly be very hot and humid in summer. The beer garden, which is beautifully located on the Elbe, unfortunately only offers convenience food. Also this unfortunately continues to be typical for the area.
