Great location within walking distance to Old Town and most landmarks. The building and the interior need some refreshment, but the room was clean, equipped with all the necessary things. The shower too small for my big husband, but they both survived😃. Great breakfast and extremely nice and helpful service make Windthorst Hotel a place worth coming back!

Absolute disaster.

The Windhorst Hotel is an absolute disaster. Sleeping here is practically impossible. Starting at 6:30 AM, the elevator roars through the entire building every 15 minutes—and this goes on for hours until about 10 AM. Incredible that such rooms are even rented out.
Additionally, the cleaning staff loudly shout through the hallways in the morning, making any chance of relaxation impossible. The furnishings are falling apart, the showers are moldy, and the water barely gets warm. Apparently, there is only a tiny, completely overwhelmed water heater there.
Overall loud, run-down, and absolutely not recommended.

It was convenient to the sights we were interested in visiting. The breakfast was good. When checking in, there was no one to help us. We had to search for the reception area (on fourth floor). The room was very small.

Mediocre

The hotel is located almost immediately at the main train station. About 200m walk. The rooms are distributed over several floors of a commercial building, the reception is located in the 4th floor. OG. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the furniture and bathroom facilities are still up to the standard of the 1970s. A fundamental renovation should soon be undertaken here. Staff are friendly and helpful. I can't say anything about the breakfast offer, as not taken up. Anyway, €17 for this seems a bit excessive.

An okay and no-noncense Hotel. Bit old fouurnature but good beds and everything okay. Street is very noisy at night but by closing all windows you dont hear it. Hotel is close to station and to city center so for us it was perfect. breakfast buffet was simpel but mondays till saturdays there are a lot of bakeries which offer breakfast.
