Room is cleaner, bed duvet folded every day. Breakfast is hard boiled eggs and sides. Coffee tastes not bad, strength is just right. Bedroom views are interesting. Listen to the cow bells and see them at the back up the hill. Transhumance animals around the valley.

Suepr stay
Located in the mountains, the hotel is charming with a neat decoration and a warm setting. Everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is really excellent, and I have seen bad hotel breakfasts tested! The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
I have not had the opportunity to test the pool or sauna, but I intend to come back to enjoy it.

A beautiful find!!
I booked this hotel as a treat for our 40th wedding anniversary on our drive back to the UK. I called the hotel to let them know we would arrive after 22:00 and spoke to the lovely Sava! He had already noted regarding our special anniversary and congratulated me. We were given a lovely upgraded room with a great terrace and view of the back fields where the cows were making their cow bells music! This hotel is delightful! It has a wonderful indoor pool with views of the unique Black Forest countryside! I got into the pool at 7:30 am and was the only one in there. Again, the smiling Sava had prepared the pool and gave me lovely towels. The sauna is downstairs as are showers and changing room. The breakfast was ok but sadly no Bretzel or croissants. The coffee was good. Who do I see rushing around clearing guest tables but the lovely Sava! He is soooo hard working. Upon paying at the desk (again he was at the desk!) I had to ask him for his name because I was so impressed! A great asset to this hotel! If you don’t mind driving the extra 40 mins from Freiburg and you don’t mind winding mountain roads please try this beautiful find! I would love to go back one day! Thank you Sava!

A bit disappointed
I have known the hotel for 30 years, the rooms have been nicely renovated, the bathroom got a new wall mirror. Unfortunately, in whole bathroom the outlets were missing. Hair I had to blow dry in the room.
Breakfast is good and rich, unfortunately there was no good morning or nice day from the staff.There was no way to talk to the staff. There is a small selection of food for dinner, which must be pre-ordered by 5pm. Value for money.... you can argue about it.
Unfortunately, there is also no possibility to get a cappuccino or tea in the afternoon. The house has not lost its charm, unfortunately for that the staff.... Too bad!

Dass Sie sich beim Frühstück nicht persönlich begrüßt oder willkommen gefühlt haben, tut uns sehr leid. Freundlichkeit und ein offener Umgang mit unseren Gästen sollten selbstverständlich sein. Wenn dieser Eindruck bei Ihnen nicht entstanden ist, haben wir unser Ziel verfehlt.
Auch Ihre Anmerkungen zu den eingeschränkten Möglichkeiten am Nachmittag sowie zur Vorbestellung des Abendessens nehmen wir ernst.
Es bedeutet uns viel, dass Sie sagen, das Haus habe seinen Charme nicht verloren. Umso mehr möchten wir daran arbeiten, dass auch der Service wieder so wahrgenommen wird, wie Sie es von früher kennen.
