Magnificent views and beautiful hotel/room
Beautiful resort style hotel with magnificent views, indoor and outdoor pools, garden and very helpful staff . The bed was comfortable, complimentary water in the fridge, traditional breakfast included , I enjoyed very much the service and would recommend this beautiful place

Overrated
This hotel looks nice on the photos but is overrated. The buildings of this old chateau are beautiful, great views, two outdoor pools. Nice terrace.
But we had a bad experience. While the young staff at the restaurant is nice and very helpful, the hi on duty at the hotel was not. Our A/C did not work and they tried to make us believe it did. It was very, very hot. We could not sleep all night. the light on that balcony was all night on and extremely bright, the balcony was connected to all other rooms, so keeping the door open all night was no option.
I asked for towels for the pool and when there were none, I was sent to the pitch dark indoor pool ( not really a pool but a dipping pool) to fetch some. I towels there either. Mold in the shower, the room not very clean (ashtray on the balcony was not emptied, dead bugs and ants in the room. Pool area run down. I was disappointed and left upset. They did not even apologize for the broken AC.

Best. Trip. Ever.
Chateau Mere was the perfect choice for our daughter’s wedding and one of the best decisions we have ever made. Planning a destination wedding nearly 6,000 miles from home could have been stressful, but the owners, **Gia and Nino**, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. Their warmth and dedication set the tone for the entire experience.
The setting is simply breathtaking—picturesque in every direction, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, with every interaction marked by professionalism and care. The accommodations, event space, and celebrations all exceeded expectations, and the varied, delicious Georgian cuisine delighted every guest.
Even the morning after, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast that stretched into the afternoon, never rushed and always cared for. Chateau Mere not only provided a venue but created an unforgettable experience we will treasure forever.

Here is my experience
We were disappointed with our stay. The price did not match the quality at all. Breakfast was very minimal — just a few items on the table, not what we expected. Also, there was no tea or coffee available in the room, which is usually a basic feature in most accommodations.
The room had very poor sound insulation. We could clearly hear noise from the neighboring rooms, which made it hard to relax or get proper rest.
We came here to unwind, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the rest we were hoping for. We won’t be returning.

Top Location - Querky Vibe
Unusual property with definite character. The setting is gorgeous with scenic views, the bedrooms spacious and the bed comfortable. The bedroom furnishings are shabby-chic (think Soviet 1970s) but the bathroom is modern and everything just about works, except the door to our balcony. The lounges etc are more congenial (celebrity photos and memorabilia). Staff are pleasant and friendly, but the service itself is a bit of a joke (ok unless you're in a hurry). Don't expect an early breakfast - staff looked slightly surprised to see us at 9.00 and started quickly to lay things out. With some modernisation, upgrading and staff training, the results might be something special. Others might enjoy it the way it is...
