A beautiful address for gourmets

Friendly welcome. Original, varied and stimulating menu. Fatty faith of character, remarkable stag pavement in tenderness, cooking and flavor, tasty accompaniment, generous portions. Delicate autumn swine. For a weekday dinner with 3 reserved a few hours before, hats off to the chef and staff.

Home, Comfort and Excellent Value Award make this Pension a very nice Address in the heart of Normandy.

We had booked for 3 nights and disappointed with the assigned room. We got a shower in a closet, separated from the bathroom. You had to cross the hallway and walk past the bedroom to get dressed in the bathroom. The bedding is very good.
For breakfast, you had to book your pastries and cheese, cold meats on arrival. Breakfast to be taken before 9am ..a little early on holiday.
We hardly saw the owners, we had only the (very nice) waiters as interlocutors.
The kitchen is perfect.

Decent Hotel but Disappointed

This is a well appointed hotel and I had a decent room. Yet I feel I was badly treated. I’d booked back in January a Soirée Etape which means bed, breakfast and evening meal. The price was 120 Euros
I was aware that soirée étape is for people travelling on business. I am working on a book as I walk around Normandy. I’ve now done 11 walks over 8 years. I was never asked the nature of my work
I arrived at the hotel at 3.30pm aware that check in was 4pm but I thought I’d try. I could see staff inside but they wouldn’t open.
I returned at 4pm. I mentioned my booking but was told they don’t do a soirée étape on a Saturday. They had though accepted my booking without comment . They then emphasised it was only for people on business. I wasn’t asked if I was there on business. It was just presumed I wasn’t
I couldn’t be bothered to argue and turned down breakfast. I was then charged 96 or 97 Euro just for the room.
Having walked 20 kms i decided not to argue.
On my return I wrote to the hotel expressing my disappointment
No answer.
The room was fine but the reception decidedly inhospitable

Great discovery

We were very well received. The staff is very friendly. The room is correct and peaceful. We slept well. The restaurant at the top. Tailor-made breakfast. Good value for money. I highly recommend it for a great getaway.
