Gorgeously atmospheric B&B full of antiques and vintage furnishings

Stayed here with my elderly mum and my cousin, passing on our way to the South of France. Absolutely loved the old fashioned and historic atmosphere of an old provincial house.
Decorated as if an elderly aristocratic lady had just left. We had two rooms on a private corridor on the top floor floor with a shared bathroom with modern shower. My mum’s double room was done up as an attic sitting room with old wallpapers and antiques. My cousin and I shared a sweet twin room. Great rooftop views of Richelieu towards the park.
Breakfast of coffee bread and jam in grand ground floor dining room. So much to look at while you eat.
Highly recommended if you like historic building vibe. Owner has done a wonderful job preserving the atmosphere of the house. She gave us a fascinating tour of the building. We loved it!
This is not for you if you want a modern, all modcons hotel though!

Une immersion dans l'histoire

Un lieu fascinant, qui nous plonge au coeur d'un roman de Balzac (dont le musée est à quelques kilomètres), un hotel particulier d'un charme intriguant et un accueil dune extraordinaire gentillesse. On peut y aller les yeux fermés !

Authentic France and a wonderful welcome

Transport yourself into the real France by staying here. Host Catherine is charming and extremely helpful, the rooms are large and have everything you need. This is an old building with thick walls, full of charm and as French as you can get. An excellent breakfast of croissants, baguette and home-made jams, accompanied by juice, tea/coffee sets you up for a day of exploring this wonderful region. Richelieu itself is very pretty, if a little frayed around the edges. The park is beautiful and offers lovely walks, once the keeper deigns to open the gates in the morning (about 8 a.m.) Le Ragois is a very good choice of base if you want to explore, and Catherine is an excellent host.
Transportez-vous dans la vraie France en séjournant ici. L'hôte Catherine est charmante et extrêmement serviable, les chambres sont grandes et disposent de tout ce dont vous avez besoin. C'est un immeuble ancien aux murs épais, plein de charme et aussi français que possible. Un excellent petit-déjeuner composé de croissants, baguettes et confitures maison, accompagné de jus de fruits, thé / café vous prépare pour une journée à explorer cette merveilleuse région. Richelieu lui-même est très joli, même s'il est un peu effiloché sur les bords. Le parc est magnifique et offre de belles promenades, une fois que le gardien daigne ouvrir les portes le matin (vers 8 heures du matin) Le Ragois est un très bon choix de base si vous voulez explorer, et Catherine est un excellent hôte.

Beaucoup de charme

Le bâtiment date de la fondation de la ville par le Cardinal. L'hôtesse, qui est aussi antiquaire, à aménagé, décoré et meublé les chambres avec raffinement. Vue sur la cour et la rue Traversière, très calme. Nuit tranquille. Petit déjeuner avec une vaisselle élégante et des confitures maison.
