Housed in an elegant 19th-century building in Nové Město (New Town), this apart hotel is a 3-minute walk to I. P. Pavlova Metro Station and a 7-minute walk to the Wanceslas Square. It offers spacious apartments with free WiFi.

We chose Residence Jecna for its location and we are glad we did. It is roughly a half-mile walk from Prague Central Station where we arrived by train, a one mile walk to the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge, and just a couple of blocks from the Tram 22 Stepanska stop which runs to Mala Strana (Lesser Town) and Prague Castle. The hotel has no front desk but thankfully the check-in process (obtaining a code to enter the front door, check-in at the kiosk in the lobby and producing a room key) went very smoothly. The room was clean and had a large bathroom. The shower produced good water pressure and water temperature was also good. Someone cleaned our room every day and resupplied toiletries as needed, although we never saw them. Be prepared to leave Euros in cash before checking out to pay the city tax - 1 euro per person per day.

False Advertising – View of Construction, Not a Garden
We stayed at this property in the Czech Republic from June 9 to June 12. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to serious misrepresentation in the listing — particularly regarding the view from the room.
The booking stated that the room had a “view” and specifically a "garden view". The listing also included carefully selected photos showing a quiet, green garden, which strongly influenced our decision to book. However, the reality was completely different: our room and balcony faced an active construction site, with loud, constant noise from early morning until late evening.
There was no mention of ongoing construction or noise in the listing. The use of misleading photos and incorrect description of the view constitutes a serious violation of fair commercial practices, both under Czech consumer protection law and EU Directive 2005/29/EC on unfair commercial practices.
We are attaching photo and also have video evidence from different angles, clearly showing:
* the actual view from our balcony,
* the contrast between the listing photos and the real conditions.
Due to the construction and noise, it was impossible to rest, sleep, or work. We asked for a different room or a refund — the host refused both, falsely claiming that refunds are not possible due to Booking.com policy. Given the above, we've initiated a refund process through booking.com.
We were forced to stay in a room that did not match what was advertised — a clear case of misleading marketing and denial of basic consumer rights.
We strongly caution future guests to verify conditions before booking.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I had a challenge with the heat as the room was kept particularly warm, and the remote seemed to have little to no impact. Still, I would stay there again as it was good value for $$$.

Need maps and local information about the city. Clear info about maid service. Location was good but not a 5 star. Still had to walk quite a ways from city center. Very nice gentleman met us and helped us with arrival. Better description online.
