Nice little hotel in the center of Brno

Nice little hotel in the center of Brno. Thanks to the beautiful tiled stove and old-fashioned furniture, my room looked like a castle. I really appreciated the peace and quiet, I was not disturbed by any noise from the surrounding rooms or from outside. The room was well equipped, there was a refrigerator, minibar, safe, air conditioning and a coffee maker.
Breakfast was served as a buffet. The selection was standard, but it had everything I like for breakfast.
The staff was very nice, check-in and check-out were fast. I was satisfied here.

The hotel Is in a great convenient location in the city centre and close to public transit. There's a bar next door that can be noisy until past midnight. In the summer, the room air conditioning is nice relief when it's hot outside.

Be careful, don't be scammed

After making a reservation at Hotel Royal Ricc, I received fraudulent emails impersonating the hotel. The scammers knew that I had booked this particular hotel and contacted the university email address connected to my reservation. They threatened to cancel the booking unless I made a payment, and I lost €532.60.
The hotel confirmed that the emails were fraudulent and described the matter as serious. It also said it was contacting the provider of its reservation system. However, the hotel declined to compensate me because the payment was not sent to its bank account and the fraudulent email did not come from its address.
What remains unexplained is how the scammers obtained information about my genuine reservation. I also found the hotel’s response extremely unhelpful.
I would not feel comfortable booking with this hotel again. Based on both the incident and the hotel’s response, I cannot recommend this hotel and would advise potential guests to think twice.

Unreliable Staff

Unhelpful and irresponsible staff. We had an incident occur where guests were locked out of the hotel, and the recpetionist was no where to be found. We had to call the police and hours later the receptionist was found sleeping in one of the hotel rooms likely intoxicated and/or under substances. The cleaning lady didnt change the towels or sheets once.
