Set in the very heart of UNESCO-protected Old Town of Trogir, Rooms Roso is 500 metres from the nearest beach. It offers accommodation with TV and a shared terrace with seating area. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower.

Superb accommodation
The hotel is slap bang in the Old Town, about a 5-minute walk from the bus station, in a beautiful medieval building.
I paid €30/225 Kuna for a spacious single room with private bathroom. My original plan had been to stay in Split, but no way can you get that kind of accommodation for €30 in Split so I went for Trogir and took the 37 bus into Split (glad I did, Trogir is a gorgeous town).
The owners are incredibly friendly and bend over backwards to welcome guests. I rolled up at 09:30, said I knew it was too early to check in, but asked if I could leave my bags. Five minutes later I was sitting in my room!
Guests also have access to a kitchen where there is free coffee and it seems in season free fruit!
Excellent, free WiFi. I see that the owners explain that rooms facing the sun have A/C, those shielded, like mine, have a fan. I am the worst of the worst of the worst heat-suffering Northern European, and I found the room cool and the fan absolutely fine.

I was appalled by this place booking.com have tried contacting but haven't a response noisy ...air con doesn't exist not in my room anyway bed hard tools in my locker already given a empty water bottle from wardrobe unacceptable state for beginning of the season

Nice place
The room was in the old town of Trogir, hard to find initially but easy after getting your bearings. The room was a decent size opposite a pizzeria. There was a fan which worked well and did the job keeping us cool. There was a kitchen on the floor above and a terrace where guests could meet and have a drink in the evenings after the washing was taken down. Stayed for two days before moving on.
The only negatives weren't to do with the room but Croatia in general. The hotel is in the Old Town, and the prices of eating and drinking are very high. We couldn't find a bottle of local wine under 27 euros. Silly.

Loud, hot, but friendly hostess
The rooms are directly under the flight path, and the restaurant guests outside are noisy for a long time. At 6 a.m. the bells are ringing continuously. But sleeping was out of the question anyway because of the heat at the end of September and the mosquitoes. The hostess is friendly and you can use the kitchen.

Great price for a central option
Rooms Roso offered me the benefit of living in the centre of the Old Town – with the authenticity that brings and everything is within walking distance. The room is perfect for a solo traveler – no frills, no unnecessary nice-to-haves – a room that is functional and clean – and a very friendly and helpful host.
