Exceptional Service & Lovely Outdoor Event Space

In August, we hosted a Wedding Welcome Reception for 90 guests on the Snowy Owl Inn’s patio. Everything worked out really well. The staff were friendly, responsive, and easy to work with – answering questions, sending photos, and worked with us on setup and cleanup. The patio was spotless, the chairs and tables in great condition, and the cocktail samosas with sauces were a huge hit. The on-site Indian restaurant is also excellent, giving guests a great dining option before the event. Highly recommend for gatherings in Waterville Valley.

Great place!

The new owner has done an amazing job! Really transformed the place. He always goes out of his way to help us and the new policies are amazing. My family visits at least 5 times a yes for skiing and summer activities. Really recommend!

Hockey team great stay

I stayed here for a hockey tournament and everyone knows if you have a hockey team their going to want to play knee hockey we’ll I guess they did not like that so they yelled and yelled with terrible rules for a hotel with 3 little league hockey teams and the front desk person did not let any body of the 3 teams check in till 4 (time 2) after check in not able to run on stairs not to be loud and the next day we saw a mouse and told the rude person and she said oh that is normal then the same day their were teenagers ding ding ditching and wen the kid got caught they blamed my 8 year old brother so day 3 we woke up with no power it was pitch black with every door locked have fun staying here

Good value for a pleasant ski hotel

Appears modest at first blush but rooms are clean and comfortable and on a par with typical "ski lodging" hotels. Facilities include sitting rooms, in house restaurant/bar, passes to use community indoor pool and fitness center, and literally across the street from shops and restaurants in Waterville town square.
The perceived shortcomings in certain recent reviews were nowhere in evidence.
Rates are reasonable, and includes breakfast. Having stayed in other Waterville lodgings, which may appear to be more modern but are typically overpriced. This place is a keeper.

Unfortunately, there seemed to be a kids sports tournament in the area when I was there and many of the families stayed at the Snowy Owl Inn. I like kids, bit I felt like my room was attached to a kid's birthday party. Kids were constantly running up and down the hallways playing tag. Fun for them but not for me. I'd suggest if you intend to stay here, ask if there is a sporting event going on. The venue is quaint...older but generally comfortable. There usually was nobody at the front desk. The continental breakfast was good. The shuttle to the ski lifts took about 10 minutes and was very handy.
