Best Hostal in Temuco
I had a wonderful time here. I had to arrive in Temuco for medical reason. I was looking for a good affordable place to stay and I found this!! The service was great, I informed them that I was not feeling well and had the cold, without hesitation they decided to put me in a room where a fire place was below the floor I was in. The kept the fireplace running almost all night just for me throwing one long after another. The breakfast!! was REALLY nice!! They provide a choice of two eggs with a breadbasket or a yogurt with little cookies, and to drink they gave us both tea/coffee and fresh juice. I would recommend this place if your heading to Temuco.

It wasn't what they said.
I ordered a piece with private bathroom, and they exchanged it for one with shared bathroom because they gave it to someone else, disgusting with hairs, ice cream, without respect left everything wet, the kitchen had no cups, services, dishes, and the few who had had to wash them because they were with food and hair I do not know when (they do not clean them or force people to do it), in booking said that you could cook and when you arrived you could not, disconnected the gas so that we can not do it and it was gassed the kitchen (when we left it was still smelling of gas) the heater did not work, the other people at 12 o'clock at night using blender, with music, you could hear all the steps of the second floor and the people who knocked on the door at 2-3-4-5 am to enter, (our piece gave out and was under another piece) we could not even sleep by so much noise and they. Unlike other hostels for the same price it leaves a lot to be desired, they let cook, had rules and forced people to wash, not to fuss after 10 pm, to leave the bathroom clean, and if they did not clean them, this was worse than boarding school for men. For that money I would have paid for a hotel. The only good thing was that when I claimed that EVERYONE was using our so-called private bathroom and left it disgusting I got the extra 5 lucas back for asking for a private bathroom, but it was still not the conditions.

Very strange experience.
Stayed at Las Heras for 1 night. The experience was very strange. The room we got is located in the neighbouring house and they make it very complicated to get in. When we got there we rang the bell they asked us to go to the other door where we paid but then they asked us to go to the former outside door to get into the hostel, then we passed by a parking lot and ended up in the house where the rooms are. To enter and exit that area you have to use yet another door to the outside. If you wanted to get breakfast it was very annoying annoying since you had to go out and then go to the other door and it was very rainy in Temuco. The room was very basic, no storage and very cold, no heating other than a fireplace in the common area outside of the rest of the rooms. Bathrooms were clean and hot water was available (thank god!).The staff is very friendly which sadly is the only really positive experience about this place. I hope they can figure out a better way to handle guest mobility within the area.

Nice people, nice breakfast.
The people in this hostel are lovely even though communication is difficult if you don't speak the language, the breakfast is great and while the kitchen has only basic facilities it is enough. However we had paid for a room with private bathroom and had to share in the end, hot water only works if you ask them to put the fire on and then it runs out quickly. Not great with a full house. We were there when a whole family was staying there so it was very loud to very late at night. You can hear everything in the accommodation. Wifi is great though and for one night certainly OK to stay. It is very central to everything as well.
