Cute & Cozy Dome
We had a wonderful stay! The dome and campgrounds were cute and cozy, with a beautiful view of the Bear River—perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. We spotted lots of birds, including two bald eagles every day, which was such a treat.
Highly recommend taking the short, scenic 10-minute walk into town. Myrtle and Rosie’s is a must for breakfast and lunch—delicious food and friendly vibes. Also, don’t miss Sissiboo’s for truly amazing specialty coffee.

Avoid unless you have a small trailer
I’d avoid this campground unless you have a smaller rig, as it has a very steep downhill entrance and tight clearances where the trees need to be trimmed back. We have a 33’ 5th wheel trailer, and were winding our way through the campground trying to avoid scraping on branches when suddenly the wheels on one side began to slide down a 2’ embankment and snagged a small tree in the ditch and ripped a tear on the side of our fiberglass siding. It was a natrow passage, but had we not been trying to avoid tree branches on the opposite side it would never have happened. I didn’t expect the campground to pay for it, but when we tried to suggest to the campground manager that they need to trim up the trees a bit to make it more RV friendly, it was not received well. We’ve met a lot of super nice folks in Canada…these weren’t one of them.

Not great for tenters
We camped in our tent at Millyard for two nights.
It is a really lovely spot - the waterfront domes looked amazing, and the cottages looked to be okay as well. The shared bathrooms were clean, and the view and river experience were lovely.
However, the four tent sites are tiny and far too close together. We were the only tenters when we were there, so it was fine, but it would have felt uncomfortable had there been others there.
The owner was lovely, and super helpful. I hope that in the future the tent site area might be reworked so that this location could continue to be a good one for tenters as well as "glampers".
Bear River was an interesting village, and we enjoyed our day there.

Don’t book through Air B&B!!! Take your own bedding!
The staff was absolutely wonderful. The location of the cabins was absolutely gorgeous! Shared bathrooms were clean, but outside dish washing sink does not work, so had to do dishes in the bathroom sink.
The cabin was described as having a kitchenette with pots & pans and cooking utensils, but be aware it is only a microwave and mini fridge with nothing really to cook on. We tried to use BBQ but no gas to hook up to it (we prob coulda asked and they would have provided but we didn’t, so that’s on us)
My biggest complaint would be that we booked through Air b&b and paid $152, not really realizing it was at a campground. After staying there and realizing it was at a campground, I checked out their website when we got home, only to see the cabins were listed at $85 & $95. Almost made me sick to think what we paid! Also, when I got there they didn’t have my air b&b reservation at all, the attendant asked who I booked through and what I paid, no mention that the cabins were really only $95/night…which I guess we can’t blame them for wanting to make the most $$$ off customers, but when they didn’t even have my reservation from Air b&b anyways, it would have been nice to know the real rate of the cabins. They did go out of their way to make up the beds with bedding and put towels in the cabin because we booked through Air b&b, but totally not worth an extra $60!!! (Take your own pillows for sure!)
Anyways, lesson learned. I would stay again as the spot was gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and helpful (other than what we felt was over charging us, but once again, our fault as we didn’t book directly through them and used air b&b)

Great Stay!
Very friendly staff (the lady at the front desk was so nice and accommodating!) She made sure we had every thing we needed - even a milkbone for our pup! The campground was quiet and private, we stayed in the grape getaway cabin. The washrooms were well kept as well as the cabin its self. The only complaint I would have it that the fire pit area was very grown over so we couldn’t really access it. It is the beginning of the year and stuff happens! We only stayed one night here but we will definitely be returning in the future.
