The perfect pre-safari hotel!!

The Sedia Riverside Hotel was fantastic! We booked a two bedroom villa and could not have been more pleased. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very spacious; each with its own en-suite bathroom.
The living room was a nice size and included a small refrigerator, a desk, a sofa, a TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a lovely porch where we could sit and relax, read a book, or enjoy a glass of wine.
The on-site restaurant was fabulous!! Every meal was so delicious. The menu included pastas, pizzas, fish & grill, as well as "afro-fusion" lamb tangine and curry dishes. We even discovered a new 'favorite' wine during our stay - Painted Wolf The Den Pinotage!
It was the perfect place to spend a few nights before heading off into the bush for our 10 day safari!!

Wonderful place to stay

I spent two days here with friends before leaving an a safari. I was struck by the friendliness of the staff and willingness to help. The hotel itself has accommodations spread around a delightful, tranquil compound. Dinner served at tables around the pool was especially pleasant. Would return to stay here again without question.

Excellent quality

I am reviewing the restaurant. It is of excellent quality. I had the oxtail with the typical polenta, naan, exquisite. The staff is very kind. The service was very slow, too slow, but we are in Africa and I will overlook it. Good prices.

A Welcome Surprise and the Perfect Final Night

We only stayed here for one night, having been moved from our previous hotel. Sadly, they could only accommodate us for our final night — and I really wished we could have moved sooner. It would have been wonderful to have spent our final four nights here.
What a completely different experience it was — and in the best possible way.
The staff were absolutely lovely. Kenny (I hope I’ve remembered her name correctly), on reception, was incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, we arrived a little before check-in time, but she immediately went to see what could be done and they made every effort to get our room ready as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we relaxed in the bright, airy lounge area or outside by the bar with a delicious iced rooibos tea concoction.
The room was spacious, with a huge, comfortable bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning, fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities and a lovely bathroom. Outside was a little veranda overlooking the garden — the perfect spot to sit and watch the beautiful birds. I also had a lovely chat with the head of housekeeping while I was taking in the garden; she was such a lovely lady.
We finally had the chance to stop and relax after a busy holiday, sitting by the pool, enjoying a drink and even having a paddle (although it was far too cold for me to fully commit to getting in! Others were braver than me). We had lunch by the pool, which was delicious, although the portion size was a little too generous for me.
Dinner was equally delicious. I really appreciated that they let us know before we even looked at the menu which items were unavailable. It was only a couple of dishes, but managing expectations makes such a difference and is something other places could learn from.
Breakfast was a quick affair as we had to check out, complete the final room check and pack those last few bits before sadly heading home.
The complimentary shuttle to the airport was our final adventure — and I say adventure because of the roads, not because of James, our driver! He was lovely, but the roads in Botswana certainly keep you on your toes!
Sedia was a wonderful find and, given the choice, I would happily have spent much longer here. A fantastic hotel, lovely staff and the perfect place to end our Botswana adventure.

Lovely Stay & Great Staff

I spent a couple nights in total here, camping with Absolute Africa, and really enjoyed my stay. The restaurant on site was sweet, camping area was well laid out with nice shared bathroom, and the staff were all wonderful! There was also a lovely gift shop at the entrance selling awesome handmade goods. The property as a whole is a paradise, but the heart and soul of Sedia are the people. Brightson will absolutely make your day and Bonolo’s smile will be unforgettable! Sedia feels like a home away from home. Thank you for making my time in Botswana so special. I couldn’t have asked for more and I can’t wait to return!
