An incredible experience
This is our second visit to Hotel Bismarck and it did not disappoint again. We stayed in a 2 bedroom alpine suite this time and enjoyed the space for a family of two adults and two teens.
Service everywhere is impeccable. Our server’s Lea, Christoph and Josipa made sure we had everything we needed, remembered our drink orders for every meal. Their attention to detail is unparalleled.
The family Wendler make you feel like they are part of their family, their ethos is strong and is evident in everything they do.
We will miss the delicious breakfasts and three/four course meals and our evenings in the bar with the wonderful Orhan and Valentin who always made sure you had what you needed.
We borrowed the free hotel bikes and cycled down to Bad Dorfstein, used the free transport code to visit Bad Gastein and spent time in the hotel thermal pools.
Bad Hofgastein is the most incredible place to visit and if you’re unsure of where to stay, Hotel Bismarck should be at the top of your list. I hope I get to visit again in the future. I can’t use enough superlatives to get across what a special place this is!

Our second wonderful experience!
Its was our second time in this wonderful hospitality place.
This time we stayed with our 2 daughter's.
what can say? absolutely amazing regarding of any aspect.
The kindly staff/ the comfortable suite/ the convenience facilities/ the quality of the breakfast & dinner

Wonderful in every way - a family run spa hotel with a big heart!
I have now been to this superb family run spa hotel three times in the space of two years and I absolutely LOVE it, as do my whole family! My husband and daughter are fans of the gourmet food, impeccably served and beaufifully presented. All is wholesome and locally sourced and plentiful. The wines are absolutely delicious. This is a hidden gem in a beautiful valley with wonderful views and a gorgeous feeling of complete and utter relaxation. The family are simply the most welcoming and genuine hosts who now greet us as if we are old friends! We stayed in the alpine accommodation which has high end furnishings - I would recommend the upgrade. I understand that they are building a new wing which I am sure will be as high quality as the other rooms. This is a very special place indeed and one that I hope/plan to visit on a regular/yearly basis for complete pampering and rest and relaxation. Five stars in every way! What more can possibly be said about this hotel?
This was our fifth stay, and this time we came as a family — and once again, the hotel exceeded every expectation. There are simply no words to truly describe the level of service, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and genuine care that goes into every part of the experience.
Everything is impeccable — beautifully maintained, spotless, and exceptionally well thought out. The fact that it is family-owned makes such a difference; you can genuinely feel the personal touch and the way guests are treated with warmth and care.
And the food… simply perfect. On another level entirely.
After five stays, we can confidently say that we are officially addicted. This place has become so much more than a hotel for us — it feels like coming home to our favorite place in the world.
We cannot wait to come back again.

Truly special hotel
This is a lovely family-run luxury hotel and truly a special experience. The hotel itself is superbe and nestled in a gorgeous valley, but what sets it apart is the amazing atmosphere, kindness of the staff and the feeling you are staying in a hotel where people are proud to be working. We stayed at half-board and the food is absolutely top-notch -with a great wine menu to match. Great spa facilities, with one space for families and another, quieter one . Absolutely recommended !
