Central Short Stay
Booked it as it was the most reasonably priced option in the area so we weren't expecting much. There's basement parking and check-in was really quick as they didn't require identification or a security deposit, just required the booking name. There's almost no service provided and housekeeping is done at an additional charge, also if you leave things dirty you're also charged. We booked the motel room and the accessories were more than what we expected but no disposable toiletries. Room had clothes iron and dish soap to clean utensils, room was also clean and we didn't have any issues with water, air con or the tv. Since it was 'motel room' there was no laundry appliances. Location is fantastic and the main reason why we booked here as it was right next to the commercial area which made everything convenient. Overall good option for a short stays.

Avoid booking this place
Very disappointed with our stay.
No one at reception for 4 pm check in
The room was dirty, bath towels were so thin and very shabby.
Minimal toiletries supplied
TV did not work
Frozen milk in fridge so couldn’t make a cup of tea. No one at reception to help
No coat hangers in wardrobe
A pile of dirty linen in wardrobe
Could not wait to check out
Overpriced!

Non-existence customer service
When we arrived the room spelt terribly of damp as if something had been spilt then cleaned up but then not ventilated properly. We couldn't ask to move rooms as there is absolutely no staff on duty. Upon arrival your room key is in an envelope with your name on it and then you just post the key in a letter box on departure.

Appollo Bay Motel rating Low.
Booked over phone. Spelling out booking name for receptionist.
Sounded great.
Booking recorded under misspelt names on arrival.
First impressions of room. Tidy, pull down blinds and curtains over fixed windows and door, not ideal.
Shower over very old spa bath, not a great set up for older people, not mentioned at time of booking.
Water damage to bathroom door.
Shampoo and body wash provided in large containers obviously used by previous guests.
Fire alarm had activated when returning from walk on beach. Batteries needed changing, not changed since 2024.
Floor not vacuumed properly from previous guests.
King bed arranged at time of booking. Two ordinary beds pushed together creating a ridge between the two. Very uncomfortable.
No Wifi at all.
Mismatching mugs and glassware.
We were unable to obtain clear communication with receptionist.
Low rating.

A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
Upon arrival (Room 3) noticed room had not been serviced or cleaned. Vanity had been leaking and got progressively worse ruining toilet rolls and tissues. Told changing rooms was not an option. No room servicing during 3 night stay and only part time reception available. Spoke to Josh regarding these issues and more to no effect. Beware.
