Served by Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH, the city of Stuttgart makes an outstanding destination to unwind in the urban amenities and the surrounding natural landmarks. It is located 13 kilometres south of the city and lies on the boundary between the nearby town of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt, and Stuttgart itself. Several facilities can be found here, such as the Stuttgart Trade Fair and the global car parking company APCOA Parking.
Being a hub of Germanwings, Stuttgart Airport offers flights to and from several European cities and leisure destinations. A small number of long-haul services can also be found here, which can be convenient for those travelling overseas. This has increased the passenger traffic in the airport, which reached about nine million in 2012.

The main exhibit to check out here is the display of more than 160 vehices, as well as the Untertürkheim diesel engine factory.
When out on a carefree day, tourists can venture to the expansive Schlossplatz, surrounded by buildings from the city's past role as a ducal and royal capital. The centre of this wide open space is its beautiful gardens and the Jubilee Column, which dates back from 1841 as a commemoration of the 25th year of rule by King William I. Others will find pieces of modern sculpture and a lovely fountain. On the northwest side of the square is the Königsbau, a shopping arcade, while on the southwest is the Kleiner Schlossplatz with many boutiques and restaurants.
A preference for outdoor destinations can take you to the Sepulchral Chapel on Württemberg Hill.
