On the northwest side of the square is the Königsbau, a shopping arcade, while on the southwest is the Kleiner Schlossplatz with many boutiques and restaurants.

A preference for outdoor destinations can take you to the Sepulchral Chapel on Württemberg Hill. After checking out the beautiful structure of the Grabkapelle, one can go on a walk and bask in the splendid views of the city and the Neckar Valley. There is also the Wilhema Zoological and Botanic Garden, with its finely laid-out hothouses, animal houses, and an aquarium. About 1,000 species reside here, as well as an impressive collection of plants.
