Cheap flights from Niue

Niue is a small island country in the South Pacific Ocean, located 2,400 kilometres (1,500 miles) northeast of New Zealand within the triangle formed by Tonga to the west, Samoa to the north, and the Cook Islands to the east. It is commonly referred to as the “The Rock”, due to the traditional name “Rock of Polynesia.” Its capital and largest village is Alofi. The country is a self-governing state in free association with New Zealand; most of its diplomatic relations is conducted by New Zealand on its behalf. The citizens are considered New Zealand citizens, and Queen Elizabeth II is head of state in her capacity as Queen of New Zealand. It became the first “Wi-Fi nation” of the world in 2003, with Internet Users Society-Niue providing free wireless Internet access throughout the country.

Where to go

Alofi offers visitors a number of great activities that you can enjoy during your trip to the island. It’s small in size, so walking or biking around is recommended. Although Alofi offers limited kinds of souvenir, Niuean weaving is known to be excellent and perfect to give to your friends. Niue’s main eating places are all in Alofi. A variety of food, such as fish and chips, Indian food, Panini, pizza, and more can be enjoyed here. Visit Tavana’s Café in the town centre and Crazy Uga Café, which is a perfect spot for breakfast. You can choose from either the "Big Uga" or "Little Uga" breakfast. Coffee and fruit smoothies are also offered. For cocktails, visit Falala Fa Cafe & Bar.
