Where to go

Curitiba is the capital of the Brazilian state Paraná, and the largest city in southern Brazil. The city serves as a significant cultural, political, and economic centre in Latin America, making it a wonderful destination. One of the major tourist attractions in the city is the Wire Opera House (Ópera de Arame in Portuguese), located at the centre of the urban Greek part Parque das Pedreiras. The Botanical Garden of Curitiba (or Jardim Botânico de Curitiba) is a 240,000-square-metre garden created in a style similar to French gardens. It is also a major attraction and landmark and houses part of the campus of the Federal University of Paraná.

Florianópolis, on the other hand, is the capital and second largest city of fellow Brazilian state Santa Catarina. Florianópolis can be found on the main Island of Catarina and the surrounding small islands. With that in mind, one of the best things to do in Florianópolis is to visit the shallow waters of Conceição Lagoon, considered a world-class windsurfing location surrounded by a vibrant nightlife. There are also plenty of hiking trails at the southern tip of the island, one of which leads to the stunning secluded beach Lagoinha do Leste.
