The Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is the primary aviation hub for the city of Cape Town, and the second busiest airport in the country. Situated 22km from the central part of the city, you’ll find that you can traverse that distance fairly easily with comprehensive bus routes and taxis.


You can fly to over 30 destinations from Cape Town, with several domestic routes, and international ones in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.  


The flag carrying airline for the nation, South African Airways, tends to operate most of the domestic flights, and a few of the international ones. Other airlines to book with if you are flying abroad are KLM, Lufthansa, Kenya Airways, TAAG, Turkish Airlines, Air Botswana, British Airways, Air Mauritius, Air France, Air Namibia, and Swiss Air.
