Cheap flights from Angola

Officially the Republic of Angola, Angola is a country located in the southern region of Africa, known as the seventh largest country in the continent that is home to some 24.3 million people. Its capital, Luanda, bears about 3.5 million citizens who mainly speak Portuguese, and a variety of national languages that are considered ethnic. Although its territory has been inhabited since the Paleolithic Era, modern-day Angola is rooted on the area's Portuguese colonisation, which began mostly on coastal settlements and trading posts as established in the 16th century. By the 19th century, the colonisers slowly and hesitantly began to establish themselves in the interior, and then completely taking over by the 20th century.

Angola has vast mineral and petroleum reserves, and its economy has on average growth at a double digit pace since the 1990s, following the end of the then prevailing civil war. In spite of this, standards of living remain low for the majority of the population, and life expectancy and infant mortality rates in Angola are among the worst in the world. And albeit being named as one of the naturally gifted countries in Africa, Angola's economy is called disparate, with the majority of the nation's wealth concentrated in a disproportionately small sector of the population.
