It takes just over an hour and a half to drive to L’Aquila from Pescara Airport. There’s a good range of car parks and some on street parking in the city, but if you’re staying overnight it’s definitely best to choose a hotel with car parking. Most of the accommodation in L’Aquila offers free parking for guests, while some places have a surcharge. It’s best to confirm before making a booking.

It takes about fifty minutes to drive to Teramo from Pescara Airport. Parking is widely available in Teramo, both on-street and in car parks. Teramo is an easy city to walk around. Choose a hotel with car parking and you can enjoy exploring the town on foot, only using your rental car when you want to get out and discover the rest of Abruzzo.
