It takes about half an hour to drive to Penola from Mount Gambier Airport. It's easy to drive in Penola, and finding a parking space is no problem. Due to the rural nature of the area, most of the accommodation in Penola (and the wider Coonawarra wine region) has car parking facilities.

It takes about 90 minutes to drive to Robe from Mount Gambier Airport. Most of the hotels in Robe have private parking facilities. There are also plenty of parking lots, both paid and free, throughout the town. They can get busy during the summer high season (December to February) and over the Easter holidays (usually March or April).
