It takes an hour and fifteen minutes to drive to Belgrave from Melbourne Avalon Airport. Car parks and on-street parking are available, and most accommodation in the town will have parking spaces reserved for hotel guests.
From June to October this impressive mountain becomes Melbourne's nearest ski resort. There are great runs for all levels, and a low-key but fun apres ski scene in the village.
There's only one road up the mountain, so proceed with caution and ask your car hire company for snowchains. It takes nearly three and a half hours to drive to Mount Buller from Melbourne Avalon Airport.
