Velada Mérida is in Mérida’s historic centre, 300 metres from the Roman Amphitheatre and National Museum of Roman Art. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi in rooms.

Good hotel.
Hotel located one hundred meters from the Roman amphitheater and theater, ideal for visiting the city. It has a pool, with spacious and clean rooms. It also has its own parking at a good price. Well-attended, it has a restaurant where you can eat something at affordable prices, with good cuisine. I am not giving it five stars because of the somewhat anomalous behavior a waiter had with the cutlery, presumably unused, of some diners. On his own, he decided that it was not used and returned it to the clean cutlery basket. He should have sent them to be washed when in doubt about their use. I hope that the next time we stay, they do not give us cutlery that was dubiously used, or not, by other diners without first going through the dishwasher. Take care of those details, as they are a matter of public health. I will not comment on the fact that a young lady, at the breakfast buffet, was smelling the mouth of a water bottle, with her nose pressed against the glass. That does not tarnish a good stay, but it casts doubt on the hygiene. We will have faith.

Sin embargo, lamentamos y le pedimos disculpas especialmente por las situaciones que describe relacionadas con la manipulación de la cubertería. Entendemos perfectamente su preocupación y compartimos que, en cuestiones de higiene, no debe haber lugar para dudas. Revisaremos lo sucedido con dirección y con el departamento implicado para reforzar estos protocolos y evitar que una situación similar vuelva a producirse.
Agradecemos que nos haya trasladado estas observaciones con claridad. Nos ayudan a detectar detalles que debemos cuidar y a seguir trabajando para ofrecer una experiencia segura y de calidad.

Quite improvable.
We stayed in a room (613) that should not have a place in any 4-star hotel.
The noise of the elevator going up and down is very annoying. The buffet breakfast does not correspond at all to a hotel of that category. The gentleman who attends the cafeteria does not stand out for his friendliness and kindness. The reception staff is very friendly and professional. We will not return. It is a shame because the hotel is well located and the pool makes for a pleasant place.

A free T-Rex won't let you sleep
You won't believe... the elevator is constantly making a noise that looks like a T-Rex whining and echoing all over the hotel. Provokes vibrations inside the room!
At the time of most movement, like breakfast and lunch, it's 20 in 20 seconds!
Look for another hotel!

Olá Andree, lamentamos que o ruído do elevador tenha perturbado o seu descanso durante a sua estadia. Compreendemos perfeitamente o quão incómodo este ruído pode ser, especialmente nas horas de ponta, e lamentamos que tenha impactado negativamente a sua experiência.

Excellent location
Hotel very well located, has paid parking. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Nice breakfast, although the quality of some items could be superior. Very good quality/price ratio.

Convenient Location, Good Gastro Pub
We were driving from Madrid to Lisbon and decided to stay about halfway and spend a night. Merida has a lot of great Roman ruins to see so we decided to stay. The hotel is quite large with a great restaurant and convenient parking. There's a very nice outdoor pool and bar area when open during the summer season. Our trip was in November so it was closed. I had booked the hotel ahead of time so check-in was very easy. Staff at the desk spoke enough English to get by. The room and furnishings seemed a little old and outdated, but this may be a little typical of European hotels. Staff was very friendly and the gastro pub had great service and food. The ruins were an easy walk from the hotel. I would stay there again and would have no problem recommending it.
