Una Airport

The Una-Comandatuba Airport is a private airport serving Una in Brazil. It is owned by Hoteis Transamerica, and is operated by Socicam for the service of Transamerica Resort, which is located in Comandatuba Island. The Comandatuba Island is a developed island/hotel and leisure facility that is located on the south coast of the State of Bahia in Brazil, which is a popular tourist destination in the area. The island has 21 kilometres of semi-desert beach, on which fishermen live in rustic houses. The airport was inaugurated in 1977 and has since been of service to the above-mentioned resort. There are no scheduled flights operating at the said airport. 



There are no terminals within the vicinity of the airport. It is connected, however, to the resort grounds. 


Services and Facilities

Apart from the small terminal/receiving area, facilities and services for the airport include a 6,234-feet asphalt runway with a 02/20 direction. The whole facility stands at an elevation of 20 feet above mean sea level, and is connected by boat shuttles to downtown Una.

Driving hide 

Travellers may not drive towards the airport, but they can certainly board a boat going there. From Una, head to the port and ride a ferry/boat shuttle headed towards the island of Comandatuba to reach the Una-Comandatuba Airport. The ride will only last for 10 minutes.

There are no taxi services directly going to the Una-Comandatuba Airport. It is located within the island resort, which is only connected by boat shuttle to Una.
