Seville Airport

San Pablo Airport, or Seville Airport, is the main international airport for Seville in southern Spain, as well as its neighbouring provinces. It is the second busiest airport in Andalusia and the twelfth largest airport in Spain. The airport serves as one of the many bases for the low-cost carriers Vueling and Ryanair. It is also served by airlines Air Berlin, Air Europa, Air France, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, easyJet, easyJet Switzerland, Iberia, Iberia Express, SmartWings, TAP Portugal, France, and to provide scheduled air passenger service to both domestic and international routes. In 2013, the airport reportedly handled 3.7 million passengers. It resides at an elevation of 34 metres/ 112 feet above mean sea level. Seville Airport is located about 10 kilometres northeast of the Sevillian capital, between Seville and Rinconada.

Seville is the largest city and capital of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. Seville is some 2,200 years old and said to have been founded by the Greek God Hercules. It was known in the Roman times as Hispalis.


The terminal at Seville Airport is medium-sized and offers a good range of services. It was recently renovated and now boasts of a design based on the cultural roots of Seville. The three traditional components used for the design are the following: the mosque, the palace, and the orange trees.

Services and Facilities

The airport is closed between 1 am and 4 am. Anyone who has to catch a flight early in the morning or will arrive late in the evening must plan their method of transportation in advance, as the nearest cheap motel is quite a long walk from the airport. Sleeping in the airport is not allowed; anyone still at the airport past midnight will be kicked out. There are four options for parking at the airport: Car Park Express P1, General Car Park P1, VIP Car Park, and Long Stay Car Park 2. The Car Park Express P1 is for dropping off and picking up passengers. The VIP car park is for those who require exclusive services like vehicle collection, storage, and delivery. General Car Park P1 is two minutes away from the arrival and departure halls, designed for stays of less than four days. Long Stay Car Park P2 is a three-minute walk from the terminal. It is covered, has surveillance, and is ideal the ideal choice for long holidays. Low-cost car rental is available for travellers as soon as they land on Seville Airport. Major companies such as Avis, Eurocar, Hertz, National Atesa, and Sixt offer their services right in the airport. Travellers are advised to book a vehicle in advance online so that the rented car will be available to pick you up as soon as you land. For those who do not wish to rent a vehicle, the airport's Urban Transport Line Airport Express links the airport to the Plaza de Armas bus station in the centre of the city, with intermediate stops at the AVE train station of Santa Justa and other strategic points of the city. This service is available every day. Additionally, there is a taxi rank outside of the terminal building.
