Otu Airport

Otu Airport is a public-use airport located in the village of Otu and serves the town and municipality of Remedios in the department of Antioquia in Colombia. Also known as Alberto Jaramillo Sanchez Airport, Otu Airport is owned by Aerocivil and resides at an elevation of 2,060 feet or 628 metres above mean sea level. It operates with an asphalt-surfaced runway designated 16/34, measuring 3,103 x 50 feet or 946 x 15 metres.

Remedios, where the village of Otu is located, is a town and municipality in the Antioquia department, part of the Northern Antioquia subregion.

Services and Facilities

The only airline that operates from Otu Airport is Aerolinea de Antioquia, with two daily flights to Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport via Twin Otter aircraft. Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport is located in Medellin, the capital city of Antioquia. ACES also used to operate between Remedios and Medellin. Furthermore, Otu Airport’s runway is also used as a small military base for the Air Force and National Police.
