 Malta International Airport, Luqa

Luqa Malta International is the only airport in the Maltese Islands. Its name refers to the airport's position between Luqa and Gudja, although some locals know it as Valletta Airport, as it's located just five kilometres from the capital.

The airport is naturally the home of national airline Air Malta, as well as being a major hub for Ryanair flights connecting with destinations all over Europe. Many more airlines travel to Malta from European countries, although most only fly during peak seasons. Emirates also flies from Dubai in the Middle East, and Tunisair Express from Tunisia in North Africa.

All international and domestic flights use a single terminal, where you'll find a wide selection of dining and shopping options to keep you full and satisfied before or after your flight. Parents with babies and young children can use the parenting room to feed and change the little ones, while spiritual travellers can visit the chapel for mass or private reflection.

Luqa Malta International also offers essential services like ATMs, foreign exchange, charging sockets and Wi-Fi internet access, which is available for free throughout the airport.
