Mackay Airport (MKY) services one of the largest towns on Queensland’s breathtaking northern coast. In terms of food and drink, passengers will find two different cafes, and a fully licensed bar at your service. Travel Information

· Hire a car from one of the six rental car agencies in the terminal, or online with Skyscanner. The companies operating in Mackay’s airport are Avis, Redspot, Budget, Thrifty, Hertz, and Europcar. To get to the city, you need only drive 5km by heading west on Boundary Road East, turn right onto Milton Street and continue past the first roundabout. At the second roundabout on Milton Street, take the third exit onto Victoria Street, and you will come to the centre of town.

· There are Greyhound bus services between the airport and Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays for $25, but these only come to the airport twice daily, in the mornings and evenings, and do not stopover in Mackay town centre. More personalised airport transfers can be arranged online, and booked in advance, which may make your transit quicker and easier.

· You will find taxis outside your terminals, and a journey into central Mackay will come to approximately $20-25.
