Miami International Airport, United States of America

The Miami International Airport is the main airport handling domestic and international flights to and from south Florida, making it an important gateway between the United States and Latin America. Consisting of three terminals and eight concourses, the airport is one of the busiest in the country.

Business travellers who wish to continue working on the go may stay connected via their mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices thanks to the Wi-Fi service available throughout all terminals. The Executive Conference Centre has meeting facilities for up to 200 people, in addition to offering other services such as photocopying, fax machines, and telephones. Airlines lounges also make quiet and comfortable areas to work, providing the latest newspapers and magazines, televisions screening global news channels, as well as complimentary food and drink.

Handicapped travellers should inform their respective airlines before their flight, so that necessary arrangements can be made to assist them. The airport has installed infrastructure such as ramps and railings, lifts, handicapped toilets with wheelchair accessibility, automated walkways, and designated parking lots for wheelchair users.

There is a wide selection of food options at the Miami Airport. Restaurants and cafes serve a selection of cuisines such as Western and Asian. There are also 24-hour food outlets, so travellers never have to worry about going hungry. For a stunning view of the airfield, opt to dine at the restaurant at the Miami International Airport Hotel, located in the Central terminal.

If you’re in the mood for some last-minute shopping, you can peruse stores selling clothing, shoes, bags, books, and gifts. Each terminal also houses a duty-free shop stocking items such as liquor and tobacco. Additionally, travellers may also visit the hairdresser if they wish to get their hair done.
