Launceston Airport is a regional airport that is located on the outskirts of Launceston, in the rural part of Western Junction, in Tasmania. The terminal is approximately 15km from the centre of Launceston and can be found on Evandale Road.

At Launceston Airport, you can enjoy using a variety of facilities. For example, the terminal boasts a Newslink store, where you can purchase books, magazines, newspapers, snacks, cold drinks and various other travel essentials; as well as two Hudsons Coffee outlets which sell hot and cold non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, plus snacks like wraps, sandwiches, pastries and sweets. The airport also has a Wilderness Espresso coffee outlet, and a Boags Upper Deck restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. · Driving: If your preference is to drive your own car to airport, you will be happy to hear that there is plenty of parking on site, including short, long and under-cover spots. · Buses: There are shuttle bus services operated by Airporter Launceston between the airport and city hotels and other accommodation spots (including the Casino and the University).

Driving hide 

Parking is available at the airport and rates are charged according to the number of hours parked. Car rental counters are situated at the arrivals area and travellers may rent vehicles from the likes of Avis, Europcar and Thrifty. Advance bookings via the rental companies’ websites are encouraged in order to secure a vehicle when one arrives. Discounts may also be given to travellers who book in advance.

Buses hide 

The Airporter Shuttle Bus Service takes travellers between the Launceston airport, the Central Business District area and other neighbouring suburbs.
