Krakow Airport

Krakow Airport is Poland's second busiest airport after Warsaw. Located in the village of Balice, 11km west of Krakow, the airport was originally called Krakow–Balice Airport. Its official name today is Saint John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice, in honour of the former Pope and Krakow Archbishop.

Many airlines fly to and from Krakow Airport, including Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways, Norwegian and LOT Polish Airlines. The busiest route is domestic flights to Warsaw Chopin Airport, followed by international flights to London Stansted, Frankfurt, Munich and Dublin.

Krakow Airport uses a single terminal for both international and domestic flights. This terminal was extended and upgraded in 2015 to cater for up to 8 million passengers and to add new facilities, including a train station.

The terminal includes all the facilities you'll need to satisfy your appetite, make purchases and carry out business before or after your flight. You can take out cash and exchange foreign currency, grab a bite to eat or a coffee at the bistros and cafes, enjoy duty-free shopping for your favourite international brands and even attend mass services in the chapel.

Krakow Airport is fully wheelchair accessible and has introduced a blue path system to help people with disabilities find their way through the facility and use the services they need.
